What’s Love Got To Do With It? (A poem by Martie Coetser)
You’ve got lips eager to please me,
hands eager to touch me,
ears eager to listen to me,
a voice eager to speak to me.
♥
You’ve got a body yearning for mine
as mine yearns for yours,
A heart willing to beat for me
as mine’s willing to beat for you.
♥
You miss me when I’m not with you
like I miss you when you not with me;
You want me as much as I want you;
You need me as much as I need you.
♥
What’s love got to do with it?
Why fuss over a mere word?
Perhaps love is having a mutual target -
US.
.
